A MESSAGE FROM HIROYUKI SAKURAI, GENERAL MANAGER

As spring approaches, we at The Kitano New York would like to take this opportunity to invite you to experience the many splendors of the season that both the city of New York and our hotel offer. From the city’s temperate weather, new exhibits, festivals, events and other entertainment offers to The Kitano New York’s value-added packages and unique new programs, it is the perfect time to experience all that New York City and The Kitano New York have to offer.
Throughout 2009, The Kitano New York will continue its focus on offering affordable, value-added packages such as the Family Weekend and Jazz Night package. In addition, we are proud to announce the start of the Wine Garden menu at the Garden Cafe. Each day from 2:30-5 p.m. and 5:30-10 p.m., the restaurant will feature a wide selection of appetizers, wines and beers, priced at just $8 each, as 8 is considered lucky in the Japanese culture because it symbolizes the idea of growing prosperous. With its relaxing atmosphere and affordable offerings, the Wine Garden is the perfect option for those seeking a casual and enjoyable evening out.
In addition, the hotel’s Executive Suite and Townhouse Suite accommodations were recently renovated. With the help of interior designer Mark Ito, of M. Ito Design, Inc., the hotel updated its current guest suites in a lavish style featuring new plush bedding, 42-inch plasma TVs and new amenities from Gilchrist & Soames, London Collection. The renovation was completed in the end of February.
As the hotel continues to launch unique value-focused programs and offerings this year, there is one thing at The Kitano New York that will always remain the same -- our commitment to world-class service and hospitality. Throughout our 36-year history, the hotel has always strived to offer the very best in accommodations, offerings and service here in New York City. We look forward to continuing this tradition for seasons to come and hope that we are able to host you in the near future.
With warm regards,
Hiroyuki Sakurai
General Manager
